We are registering patients under the NHS, whether they are exempt or pay dental treatment charges.
Our practice is committed to NHS dentistry and making dental treatment as comfortable as possible. We also provide cosmetic treatment, digital X-rays, tooth whitening, denture repairs & the Childsmile education programme. Please contact us for more information on our NHS treatments and private care available to you.
We are a well established family practice and proud of the NHS service we provide. We put our patients at the centre of our service and always treat them with respect and dignity. Have a smile makeover - we will discuss what changes you want to make and recommend treatments that are right for you. These range from teeth restoration treatments like fillings, crowns and veneers to more cosmetic treatments like teeth whitening and teeth straightening. Our dentists will outline each stage of the treatments, answering any questions you may have.
White fillings in posterior teeth/replacing amalgam restorations can be provided privately - not available under the NHS.
Digital x-rays better detect and diagnose oral conditions. They help our dentists diagnose common problems such as cavities, gum disease and some types of infections.. They can be viewed instantly on any computer screen in our practice and early detection/treatment of dental problems can save time, money and discomfort.
Digital x-rays provide less radiation for safer x-rays in Gorbals Dental Practice for our patients.
Teeth whitening offers the advantage of lightening the colour of your teeth without removing any of the surface of your tooth. Only dental professionals registered with the General Dental Council can whiten your teeth. Our dentists assess your teeth fully before whitening. This is to make sure you don’t have any problems, such as tooth decay or inflamed gums. We will show you on a chart what shade of white your teeth will be by the end of the treatment and we'll give you an idea of how long it will take.
Pain Free Injections Using The STA Wand.
(Private Fee Applicable)
Gorbals Dental Practice is committed to providing you with the latest and best advances in dentistry. That is why we can offer anaesthesia with The Wand.. Using a small handpiece that looks like a pen, the Wand gives a supply of anaesthetic in a slow comfortable manner, and thus eliminating the painful consequence caused by a surge of fluid into a confined tissue area.
Missing or arriving late for a dental appointment can be a stressful experience. Gorbals Dental Practice provides a courtesy text message appointment reminder service.
Courtesy text messages are sent prior to your booked appointment and to remind you when you are due for your dental check-up, a simple and effective way to notify our patients of an upcoming visit.
Your dentures should last several years if you take good care of them. You should continue to see your dentist regularly if you have dentures (even if you have complete dentures) so they can check for any problems.
If poorly fitting or worn dentures aren't replaced, they can cause great discomfort and lead to mouth sores, infections or problems eating and speaking. Please contact us if your dentures tend to slip, or you feel they no longer fit properly.
Childsmile is improving the oral health of children in Scotland and reducing inequalities in oral health and ensuring access to dental services for every child across the country. All dentists who treat children under the NHS offer Childsmile care. Aim to register your baby with Gorbals Dental Practice soon after birth or by the time they are six months of age.
